Argentinosaurus (name meaning "Argentina's Lizard") is a genus of titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur that originated during the Middle Cretaceous period in what is now South America. The largest known sauropod dinosaur, measuring 30 meters long and weighing 92 tons, Argentinosaurus was also the largest and most physically imposing dinosaur as well as terrestrial animal of all time.
In the Series 2 episode "Clash of the Titans", a herd of ten Argentinosaurus were brought to the park from Mid Cretaceous Argentina, 100 million years ago. They reside in the Sauropod Grasslands enclosure.
