Baryonyx (name meaning "Heavy Claw") is a genus of spinosaurid theropod dinosaur that originated during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now Europe. A relative of Spinosaurus measuring 9 meters long, weighing close to 2 tons, and named for its very large claw on the first finger, Baryonyx has a long and narrow snout comparable to that of a crocodile.

In Series 3, a pair of Baryonyx were brought to the park. They reside by a lake.
