Gallimimus (name meaning "Chicken Mimic") is a genus of ornithomimid dinosaur that originated during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Asia. Measuring 6 meters long and weighing 440 kilos, this ostrich-like dinosaur is largest species of ornithomimids to ever exist.
In the Series 2 episode, "The Giant Claw”, a flock of eleven Gallimimus were brought to the park from Late Cretaceous Mongolia, 80 million years ago. They reside in the Ostrich Paddock enclosure with their relatives.
