The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a species of large mackerel shark which can be found in the coastal surface waters of all the major oceans. Measuring 7 meters long and weighing around 3 tons, it is notable for its size and is arguably the world's most well-known shark. It is also responsible for more recorded human bite incidents than any other shark species in the world. The Great White is the closest living relatives to the prehistoric shark Megalodon.

Prior to the start of the series, several Great White Sharks were brought to the park. They reside in the Primeval Aquarium with other sea creatures.
