Hesperonychus (name meaning “Western Claw”), is a small paravian (either a Dromaeosaurid or a bird) that lived in Late Cretaceous Alberta, Canada. Hesperonychus is estimated to be around 1 meter (3.3 feet) long and weighing between 1.5 to 2 kilograms (3.3 to 4.4 pounds).
In the Series 2 episode "Super Croc II: River of Death," a pack of Hesperonychus was brought to the park from Late Cretaceous Alberta, 75 million years ago. They reside in the Raptor Peak Enclosure with their relatives.
