Prehistoric Earth: A Natural History Wiki

Jaekelopterus (name meaning "Jeakel's Wing‭") is a genus of large, predatory eurypterid that originated during the Early Silurian era in what is now Europe. Measuring up to 3.75 meters long, Jaekelopterus was the largest eurypterid ever discovered and one of the largest arthropod ever to exist.

In the Series 1 episode "Water Dwellers," several Jaekelopterus were brought to the park from Late Silurian Europe, 417 million years ago. They reside in the Primeval Aquarium exhibit.

  • Jaekelopterus was the last and largest sea scorpion to be brought to the park.
