Leaellynasaura ( name meaning "Leaellyn's Lizard") is a genus of small herbivorous ornithischian dinosaurs from the Mid Cretaceous in what is now Australia.
In the Series 2 episode "Spirits of the Ice Forest", a flock of Leaellynasaura where brought to the park from Mid Cretaceous Australia, 106 million years ago. They reside in the Ostrich Paddock enclosure.

Leaellynasaura lived in Australia during the Mid Cretaceous from 118 to 103 million years ago. They shared their environment with other animals such as Koolasuchus, Muttaburrasaurus, and Australovenator.

Leaellynasaura was a dinosaur that had adapted to the extreme climate of their environment. Thoughout winter they survived in the warm shelted heart of thick forests, but in spring, these dinosaurs would emerge to feed on fresh plant growth. One of Leaellynasaura's most distinctive features were their large eye which often helped them find food during winter.
Behavior & Traits[]
Leaellynasaura were sociable little animals that lived in small clans which enabled them to make the most of scarce resources. These clans were dominated by one breeding pair and the hierarchy ensured that a Leaellynasaura would always be on lookout duty. They little dinosaurs regularly issued reassuring clicks as long as the coast was clear.
