Ouranosaurus (name meaning "Brave Lizard") is a genus of herbivorous basal hadrosauriform dinosaur that originated during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now Africa. Measured about 7 meters long and weighing over 3 tons, Ouranosaurus had a hump similar to that of present day camels.
In the Series 2 episode "Battle for Dominance," a herd of Ouranosaurus were rescued and brought to the park from Mid Cretaceous Africa, 95 million years ago. They reside in the Hadrosaur Springs Enclosure.
